Guadalupe Canoe and Camping



Guadalupe Canoe and Camping is conveniently located on US Highway 281 1/4 mile north of the Guadalupe River bridge, just north of Bulverde in Spring Branch, Texas. San Antonio is just 25 miles to the south while Austin is about 75 miles to the northeast. The Texas Hill Country towns of Blanco, Boerne, Comfort, Medina, Bandera, Marble Falls, Johnson City, San Marcos, Fredericksburg, Wimberley and New Braunfels are all within an hour or less away. Canyon Lake is some 10 miles downriver from us.

Directions from San Antonio

Travel north on US Hwy 281 from San Antonio, cross Hwy 46, cross the Guadalupe River bridge, and take a left at the SECOND crossover after crossing the bridge. Cross southbound US Hwy 281 and follow long driveway next to the tire shop to our office.

Take any road to IH-35, then go north to New Braunfels. On the south side of New Braunfels take Texas 46 West to US Highway 281, turn right (north) on US Highway 281 and proceed across the Guadalupe River. Turn left into GCC 1/4 mile after crossing the Guadalupe River bridge (2nd crossover)

 

Directions from Dallas-Fort Worth

Take any road to US Highway 67, then go southwest through Glen Rose about 13 miles to the Texas 220 cut-off at Chalk Mountain. Follow Texas 220 through Hico to the junction of US Highway 281, then go south. Continue south on US Highway 281 through Hamilton, Evant, Lampasas, Burnet, Marble Falls, Johnson City and Blanco to the Guadalupe River. We are located on the right side of US Highway 281 1/4 mile before the iron bridge that spans the Guadalupe River.

Take any road to IH-35, then go south through Hillsboro, Waco, Temple, Georgetown, Austin and San Marcos to New  Braunfels. On the south side of New Braunfels take Texas 46 West to US Highway 281, then turn right (north) on US 281 and proceed across the Guadalupe River. Turn left into GCC 1/4 mile after crossing the Guadalupe River bridge (2nd crossover).

 

Directions from Austin

Take IH-35 or MoPac Freeway (or any major thoroughfare) to US Highway 71 / 290 West, then go west through Oak Hill and Dripping Springs to Texas 165. Turn left (south) and follow the road into Blanco. At Blanco, Texas 165 joins Loop 163 (turn left), which intersects US Highway 281 on the south side of Blanco. Turn LEFT (south) on US Highway 281, then proceed through Spring Branch to the Guadalupe River. We are located on the right side of US 281 just before the iron bridge that spans the Guadalupe  River.

Directions from Houston

Follow IH-10 West from Houston to San Antonio, then turn north on US Highway 281. Go through San Antonio crossing IH-35, then Loop 410, then Loop 1604. Continue north on US Highway 281 across Texas 46 and proceed across the Guadalupe  River. Turn left into GCC 1/4 mile after crossing the Guadalupe  River (2nd crossover).

Take any road to IH-10 West, then go west to Seguin. At Seguin, turn northwest onto Texas 46, then follow it to US Highway 281 at Bulverde. Turn right (north) on US Highway 281 and proceed across the Guadalupe  River. Turn left into GCC 1/4 mile after crossing the Guadalupe  River bridge (2nd crossover)
